Fatal Twist is the first song on our upcoming EP 'Sad Sack Starter Pack' and we wrote it in 2021 before things really started getting back to normal. It's about the internal tug-of-war between holding onto hope and surrendering to the void, which was constantly shifting for me at the time.

We originally thought this would be a solo acoustic song, but then the band arrangement sounded so good with drums, viola, and harmonies. This song really sets the stage for the themes and sound of rest of the EP, serving as the opening to the rabbit hole. We hope you like it as much as we do! - Jesse
